Audray Lemieux, analyst

I joined the Tourism Intelligence Network gradually, while working on some projects for the Transat Chair in Tourism, and taking on the mandate to gather information on the cruise industry was a natural fit for me. I’m from the Lower St. Lawrence region—saltwater runs in my veins!

The cruise industry fascinates me. Rarely does one see an industry adapt to and adopt new trends so quickly. With my Graduate Certificate in Treasury-Finance from McGill, I am particularly interested in the economic aspects of the industry and its benefits for the region. Having worked for regional tourism businesses after earning my B.A. in Tourism and Hotel Management, I enjoy being part of a team whose mission is to facilitate the work of decision makers and contribute to the development of the Québec tourism industry.

If I had to sum up the single most valuable thing I have acquired from my colleagues and my work, it would be this: an incredible desire to explore the world.
