After completing my BA in Communications from UQAM with a specialization in Public Relations, I acquired extensive experience in event planning and project management at various organizations, including Radio-Canada and INEO, a major events promoter in the education sector. I then worked abroad for three years as a destination representative for Transat Tours Canada. By joining the Transat Chair in Tourism team in September 2011, I have combined my passions for tourism, event planning and communications into one job.
I am particularly interested in the festivals and events sector, having been a member of the first cohort of the Events Management Graduate Program offered jointly by the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec and the Institut de l’événement. In fact, in addition to my duties as Coordinator, Events and Communications, I am gathering information on this sector for Tourisme Québec and plan to write articles on the subject for the Tourism Intelligence Network.
