A dedicated, forward-looking organization with a global outlook, the Transat Chair in Tourism has been advancing tourism knowledge in Québec since 1992. It has organized or been associated with a host of national and international conferences and seminars. In 2004, with the support of the Québec Ministère du Tourisme and Canada Economic Development, the Chair launched the Tourism Intelligence Network, an influential force with thousands of subscribers.
